Event Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 11 April 2026

These Event Booking Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all events organised by Decoded Education Ltd (“Decoded”, “we”, “us”, “our”), including but not limited to Decoded Education Days and any other ticketed or open events. By booking a place at any Decoded event, you (“Attendee”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

Decoded Education Ltd is registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 17145909) with its registered office at North West, UK.

Booking and Payment

1.1 How to Book

Event bookings can be made through our website at decodeded.co.uk or through any other booking method we make available. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received in full.

1.2 Pricing

Event prices are listed on our website and booking materials. Decoded members receive discounted pricing as outlined at the time of booking. Current standard pricing for Education Days is £197 for non-members and £147 for members. Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

1.3 Payment

All payments are processed via Stripe. Payment must be made at the time of booking. Your place is not secured until payment is received in full.

Cancellation by You

2.1 Cooling-Off Period

If you book your event ticket online or at a distance, you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If the event falls within this 14-day period and you have expressly requested the service begins before the cooling-off period ends, you may lose your right to cancel.

2.2 Cancellation More Than 14 Days Before the Event

If you cancel more than 14 days before the event date, you will receive a full refund minus a £20 administrative fee.

2.3 Cancellation 7–14 Days Before the Event

If you cancel between 7 and 14 days before the event date, you will receive a 50% refund.

2.4 Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before the Event

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to another person by notifying us at events@decodeded.co.uk at least 48 hours before the event.

2.5 No-Shows

If you do not attend the event and have not cancelled in advance, no refund will be given.

Refund Summary: 14+ days = full refund (minus £20 admin) · 7–14 days = 50% refund · Under 7 days = no refund (ticket transfer available)

Cancellation or Changes by Decoded

3.1 Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to venue availability, speaker illness, severe weather, public health restrictions, or insufficient registrations.

3.2 Notification

If we cancel an event, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable using the contact details you provided at booking.

3.3 Refund on Our Cancellation

If we cancel an event and are unable to reschedule to a date that is suitable for you, you will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed within 14 days to the original payment method.

3.4 Changes to Event Details

We reserve the right to change the venue, date, time, speakers, or content of any event. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes. If a material change makes the event unsuitable for you, you may request a full refund.

Event Attendance

4.1 Venue Rules

You must comply with all rules and regulations of the event venue, including health and safety requirements, fire evacuation procedures, and any instructions given by venue staff or Decoded team members.

4.2 Behaviour

You are expected to behave in a professional and respectful manner at all times. We reserve the right to refuse entry to or remove any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, offensive, threatening, or in breach of these Terms, without refund.

4.3 Health and Safety

You attend events at your own risk. You are responsible for your own personal safety and belongings. Please notify us in advance of any accessibility requirements or health conditions that may affect your attendance so we can make reasonable adjustments.

4.4 Allergies and Dietary Requirements

If refreshments are provided, please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements at least 7 days before the event. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that all allergens will be eliminated.

Photography, Recording, and Content

5.1 Event Recording by Decoded

We may photograph, film, or record events for use in our marketing, social media, website, and promotional materials. By attending, you consent to being included in such recordings. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify us at the start of the event and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

5.2 Recording by Attendees

You may not record, film, livestream, or broadcast any part of a Decoded event without our prior written consent. Brief social media posts (photos, short clips) for personal, non-commercial use are permitted and encouraged, provided they do not capture substantial educational content.

Important Disclaimers

6.1 Education, Not Financial Advice

All content delivered at Decoded events is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing presented at any event constitutes personal financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Decoded is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You should always seek independent professional advice before making any investment decisions.

6.2 No Guarantee of Results

Property investment involves risk, including the risk of financial loss. Property values can go down as well as up. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes, returns, or results from attending our events. You should always carry out your own due diligence.

6.3 Third-Party Content

Guest speakers and other third parties may present at our events. Their views, opinions, and recommendations are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Decoded. We do not endorse or take responsibility for any third-party content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decoded’s total liability to you in connection with any event shall not exceed the ticket price you paid for that event.

Decoded shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or financial losses arising from property transactions or investment decisions.

Decoded is not liable for loss of or damage to your personal belongings at any event.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

Data Protection

We collect and process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The data you provide when booking is used to administer your booking, communicate event details, and process your payment.

General Terms

9.1 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, pandemics, severe weather, fire, flood, or industrial action.

9.2 Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.

9.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

9.4 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
